The final doll in First Of May's 2000 holiday series is Celebrate! Kwanzaa. This African American beauty has had a facial repaint, with green eyes, golden shadows and raspberry lips (and nails!). Her hair has been totally recreated using micro-braids. A one of a kind designer outfit was fashioned for her using a traditional African print fabric of purple, gold and green. The dress is a two piece look trimmed in green satin and gold and green intertwined braiding. The outfit is highly detailed, is completely removable, and includes a matching hat. Her original earrings and necklace were fashioned from antique gold jewelry findings and a topaz rhinestone. Her hands have been repositioned to hold a golden lantern which houses a real candle (this is NOT functional however!). Completing her outfit is a pair of purple panties and green pilgrim style shoes with gold accents.
