This custom doll is representative of Holidays gone by. She was an older doll with beautiful silky hair, but her eyes looked like some of the designers classmates from the seventies. So... she had a face make over done to rid her of the stoned look. Her silky hair was put into a double French roll with some tendrils left hanging to soften the edges. She is attired in an original red taffeta sleeveless tank style sheath gown with seven rows of holiday trim on the skirt and an embroidered wreath on the bodice. The dress is topped with a matching taffeta jacket with white satin collar and cuffs and self belt with a gold buckle. She is accessorized with a large Gibson girl style hat with red tulle trim and a sprig of holly tucked in by her ear. She wears handmade red, green, and gold beaded dangle earrings (which are sticking straight out on the scan thanks to gravity), red rhinestone ring and red closed toe pumps. She carries a tiny package for her favorite Beau.
This doll is part of the collection of Mary Williams in Ulster Park, New York.
