My Name is Miss Millie
The last doll of the 1900's from First Of May is "Millie". She is our one of a kind custom Millennium doll. Millie has had a full facial and nail repaint and has been given shiny black molded hair and rooted eye lashes. The black hair against her pale skin has given her the appearance of a Spanish Senorita . She wears a beautiful gown with an artichoke style skirt. The skirt has three layers, each of different fabrics. The lower is a blue and black spray paint print, the middle a solid royal blue satin and the upper is a skyline print which features some structures you'll recognize such as the Statue of Liberty. Her fitted strapless bodice is accented with a bias ruffle and silver iris sequins and ribbon sash. She also wears a full length cape with sequined arm bands. Her cape is made from the skyline print and is lined in white fabric that is stenciled 2000 in silver. The oversized collar on the cape is adorned with 5 tiny mirrors and is completely edged in the silver iris sequins. Her earrings are of silver lined seed beads and black Czech crystals. The cape is removable but the dress is not. Even so, she has real buttons and loops up the back (they unbutton but the dress is not removable) and wears black panties, black point d'esprit thigh high hose and royal blue pumps with silver bow and bead accents. She is stunning. It is very difficult to photograph her beauty because all the sparkle reflects the light back at the camera.
This millennium doll shines in the collection of Debbie Hendrickson in Newport, North Carolina.
