"Slugger" was created as a gift for the designers nephew for Christmas 1999. This doll has been redressed in a Chicago Cubs baseball uniform and cap to depict the home-run king, Sammy Sosa. A pinstripe uniform of cotton knit was fashioned and is worn over a navy blue turtleneck shirt. "Slugger" also wears a Chicago Cubs baseball cap, an athletic supporter and white socks along with his baseball cleats with the Nike logo..as does the real Sammy Sosa. He was a Christmas day hit!
"Slugger" resides in St. Charles Illinois, in the collection of Eric Blowers.
