This doll was created by First Of May Designs with a Recycled Theme in mind. She appeared in an online contest along with 15 other contestants. Oceanna is now looking for a new home.
Fashioned from a thrift store doll she now sports a Mermaid look. She is seated on a grouping of shells. Other items have been added to give her the feel of her underwater home. These include a velvet lined chest (once a match box) filled with treasures! Her face has been repainted and she has been given human (false) eyelashes. Her hair has been braided into a unique style and she wears an emerald crown on her head. Her tail has been fashioned from milk jug caps, velvet and aluminum foil with plastic accents. Her bra is made of painted shell macaroni!! The major portion of this doll was then sprinkled with prisma glitter to give her a soft shimmery fantasy look. She is very pretty. Due to the materials used it is very difficult to adequately describe her. She comes permanently affixed to her customized stand.
This mermaid now swims the seas with Rebecca Chulew of Austin, Texas.
