This doll was once the popular fashion doll with blonde hair! Facial sculpturing was done on her to give her the look of that famous witch. In addition her skin was painted and her hair was pulled back and painted also. A custom costume including her pointed hat was fashioned, again in the style of that well known witch. Her hand was repositioned to give her the menacing point that accompanied her statement proclaiming, "I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!". Our friends at Mattel, having left out the Witch and Miss Gulch, left my sister's Oz collection two dolls short. "Wicked" was a 40th birthday gift to her, and who knows Miss Elmira Gulch may follow!
