| Rebecca Chulew, the head honcho of Customdolls at onelist, was short one person to complete the Christmas swap. I
hadn't signed up thinking I would be too busy but the thought of someone being left out haunted me so I filled the spot! I
was pleasantly surprised when I learned that my swap partner was Laura George. She had purchased one of my creations
some time ago and told me that it had inspired her to create dolls of her own. We exchanged some basic info such as
favorite colors etc. but ultimately decided to make a Christmas creation of our own choosing for each other.
Laura sent me a beautiful doll she called "Christmas Chic". CC is a brunette with a curled updo accented with golden rhinestones. Her face has been repainted with purple and golden shadows and luscious lips. She wears a strapless column dress of gold satin accented with purple and green beading on the bodice and purple marabou on the hem! She has a black velvet coat with purple green and gold print and a deep green braid all around the edges. Custom jewelry of green, purple, and gold , a wrapped package and beautifully decorated wreath complete my wonderful swap dolls ensemble. Thanks Laura.. I really love her! My Swap to Laura is called "Winter Walk". This doll debuted my new painted poodles called "Poor Pupper Dogs". Winter Walk's dog is named "Red Reena". These dogs have special little tags that feature my little dog (who was the original Poor Pupper Dog) Hadley. I have made a number of these dogs. They will show up in some of my future designs. WW is wearing a strapless gown with a green cotton bodice and skirt of a mock patchwork Christmas print. The bodice is accented with a crocheted applique. She wears a green fleece coat trimmed in a Christmas braid and white fur over her dress. She has a full repaint and curled hair topped with a hat that matches her coat. "Red" is wearing a very chic dog coat that matches her owners. She wears a green ultrasuede collar with red and white rhinestones and is sure to stay in line by means of her golden leash! This was a fun swap! | |
